Saw you at the Whispering Beard Folk Festival the past 3 years and this years was just an amazing set!!! So many of us commented that we could’ve listened to you play all night! Thank you for making the trip the last 3 WBFF’s and hope that streak never ends!
ps – where can we find the song you sang that you wrote for the Music for the Mountain’s at Southgate – “Who owns the land, who owns the crops…” – Beautiful song!
Oh, and the song where you are “workin on iiiit !” love that song too but can’t find either on a cd!

I saw a hat, it had an acoustic guitar on it and the words Chicago Farmer. I have friends who have an organic Community Assisted Agriculture farm in WI where they grow food in the black soil for our physical health, but of course there is black asphalt in Chicago, so maybe this person who is on the hat plays organic acoustic and that is the food for the soul. Or maybe because I play acoustic….. maybe that is the tie that binds…. so I looked up this farmer on U-tube, I am really glad I saw a hat.

I bought tickets to see you at the Castle in IL on April 6th but it ends up that I am flying to Hawaii a few days before. I will see you plenty more though, thank you for sharing. Keep on keepin on.

Six of us went to the Majestic Theater in Madison, WI yesterday specifically to see Chicago Farmer. There was a total of four acts and it was a great night for music. The Chicago Farmer did not let us down. The Chicago Farmer alone was worth the price of admission. I only wish the Chicago Farmer had more time on stage. Could have listened to him a ll night.

    Nothing beats a live show.

    Great job.

Hey, Cody. I live in Austin, Texas these days, but I’m originally from Charleston, IL. I’ve seen you play at the Uptowner a few times and I always catch your set when I get up to Summer Camp. Thanks for all the music, it always reminds me of my home and the good times I’ve had over the years.

    Hey there, Cody!
I didn’t get a chance to say hi to you at Shoefest, but (my) Cody said he got to talk with you. I wasn’t out to see your show, I was back at the campsite with the baby, but we were listening to your set from there and it was great! It’s amazing how the music at that festival just resonates through the whole festival grounds. Anyway, I’m sorry I missed ya, but it sounds like our fiddle player for the day had a good time with you :)
Also, I have yet to get a chance to thank you for playing at Traveling Broke and Out of Gas’ s album release; thank you!! Everyone just LOVED you and I hope we can play together again soon. I have a video from that show and actually was searching the web to find the name of the song I recorded before I put it on YouTube, we I stumbled on this page and figured I leave ya a little message! :)
Take care and we hope to see you again soon! You should come back to Lafayette now that you have some following here!
